Much better then last trip!

One of my long time clients, 12 years now...man time moves quick, joined Capt. Scott and I yesterday on the Lagoon. Bill and his wife Carolyn fished with me for the first time on Mosquito Lagoon last year and we were blown off the water when the winds picked up to 25-30knots. This year Bill treated his son Greg and wife Donna to a day of fishing as well. With an approaching cold front, the winds were not too bad in the morning, but the overcast skies made it tough to see. We had lots of baitfish on the flats yesterday morning, but no one was snacking wassat As the winds picked up the fly rods went in the rack and the light tackle rods came out.

We stopped in a nice sheltered cove for lunch and then hit the west shore for shelter from the wind. For about ten minutes the skies cleared and we could see Redfish all over in front of us. Bill made a long cast to some nice sand spots and hooked up on his first Redfish. Never give up I say!!! Just takes one cast, the right one to make your day. Capt. Scott was able to get Greg and Donna into some nice Sea Trout as well.

It is always such a pleasure to fish with Bill and his family! Look forward to our next trip and thanks again for fishing with us.

Looks like the weather is going to be very good the next few days.
See you on the water!
