Black Drum on Fly !!!!

Today I had the pleasure to fish with Don and his son Luke from Hilo, Hawaii. Don made the long trip across the USA to visit family and he had to spend the day on Mosquito Lagoon. Don is in the fly fishing business in Hawaii and spends may days on the water chasing fish all around the islands. The chase continued for these guys and we first targeted the Redfish here in the Lagoon. We saw quite a few Redfish today and only one taker that busted Don off. We did however strike it rich with the Black Drum.

Our second stop of the day was loaded with big schools of Black Drum. It was not long and Don was hooked up. We played with these fish for a couple of hours and had some great action on the fly!

Another beautiful weather day and the fishing was just as good. Sure wish we would of got Don and Luke a Redfish today, but that's fishing for ya wink

Back on the water again tomorrow chasin tails!!!

Book your trip today,

Capt. todd
