Good day of Sightfishing!

Had the pleasure to fish with Tom from Orlando yesterday. One of the regulars on the front of my Maverick. The morning was beautiful and we had very light winds. As I set the boat down on the first flat of the day, I noticed some very nervous water and good sized tails a couple hundred yards away. As we got closer the tails got bigger and bigger. Never seen a tail like that before on this flat..... Tarpon tails that is!!! Tom got set up, made a beautiful cast and the line came tight. SET...SET...SET and it was fish on. However, that fish just kept swimming with the school. He did not even know he was hooked at first. Tom set it again and the fish started taking out line as the school moved off and the hook popped lose. What a start to the day. Never got another shot at those fish as they moved off to deeper water.

Saw a ton of Redfish on the flat as well and Tom picked up this nice trout casting to a tailing Redfish. Headed out to the next spot and began seeing Redfish fining and tailing all around the huge grass mats. Was not long and Tom was hooked up again.

Had a ton more shots at Redfish and Black Drum yesterday, but this was the only Redfish on the fly. Great day and it is always a real treat to spend time on the water with anglers that are passionate about this sport!

Still have some dates available the end of the month and in September.
Get your trip book today! The sightfishing will just keep getting better as the year goes on.

Look forward to fishing with you!
