Today I fished with Julio and his cousin Rob. The forecast this morning did look questionable, however I knew with the wind out of the East we would be able to find some shelter. Did we ever find shelter and lot's of Redfish!!! This was Julio's first time on the flats and he was rewarded with his first ever Redfish and a nice Sea Trout as well.



Rob was first on deck with the fly rod this morning and had great shots at very nice fish all day long. The wind was a bit of a challenge, but Rob is a great caster, so it was pretty much a non-issue. He gave my new Scott S4s a good work out today and made a beautiful shot on a cruising fish that inhaled the fly. Put an awesome bend in that new Scott rod. After a good fight and several runs, the fish came to hand. This was the first Redfish caught on the 8wt S4s.
