It was a beautiful sunrise yesterday despite the early morning temps in the upper 30's, BURRRRR!!!! I fished with John and his son Jack from Alabama. The morning started off a bit slow as the fish were just laying around and the clouds made it tough to see. Jack was up first on the casting platform with light tackle and caught this nice Redfish after a couple of great strikes.

As the sun got higher and water warmed up, the fish were out cruising the flats and the shorelines. Jack had several more shots at Redfish and big Sea Trout. Jack made another great cast at a cruising Redfish and produced this beautiful Sea Trout. Not a bad trade in my book!
John spent the day casting with the fly rod. The clouds and wind made a little tough early in the day, but conditions improved as the day went on. John made a perfect cast to two tailing fish on a shoreline and one of them just inhaled his fly. So fun to see a fish eat a fly in that crystal clear water.

It was a pleasure fishing with these guys and it is so nice to see a Father and Son enjoying time on the water together. That is what life is all about!!!!
December dates are starting to fill up, so get your trip booked. Redfish are starting to school up and the water levels are dropping. Looking forward to perfect sightfishing conditions.
See you on the water!
