Another First!!!

We had a nasty weather front move in and the tail end of it remained yesterday morning. We had a little bit of rain first thing in the morning, but the winds laid down and the clouds started to break. Steve from Virginia joined me for his first trip on Mosquito Lagoon. His mission was to catch his first Redfish on fly. Not only did he catch his first Redfish ever, but he also was reward with his first on the fly!

The wind was a little tough from time to time yesterday, but Steve stayed with the fly rod. That is the only way you get better at casting in the wind!!! We fished some good sized schools and also spent a bunch of time chasing fish on the shorelines. Good fun and we had the Lagoon all to ourselves.

Thanks again for fishing with me Steve! I look forward to fishing with you next Summer for some Tarpon and Snook! My December dates are filling fast, so get your trip booked. Water levels are dropping nicely!!!!!

Look forward to seeing you on the water!

Capt. Todd
