First ML Redfish!!!!
Another cold front is on us here in Central Florida and the water temps have dropped. The fish are back in their Winter time program and schooling up in the deeper depressions. Heat of the day provides the best sightfishing opportunities in the shallow flats of Mosquito Lagoon. Yesterday, it was a cold run to our first spot of the day. Mark and Mark from Winter Park, Fl joined me for a day of fly fishing on the Lagoon. Mark is a just getting started in this fine sport of fly fishing and with the winds blowing 15-20 out of the North, made it tough to cast. We worked on the proper techniques of quickly delivering the fly and then went to the light tackle rods. The wind laid down a bit and the sun finally warmed the water. We started seeing fish feeding in the shallows and it was not long before both of these guys hooked up. Great fun and a beautiful day on the water. Looks like we will have perfect light wind and sun conditions for tomorrow. Just booked my last open day this year, so take a look at those calendars for January and get your trip booked. Some of the best sightfishing i coming our way!!! See you on the water, Capt. Todd.s
