The last two days here on Mosquito Lagoon have been of typical Winter conditions.
Cooler mornings and warm sunny afternoons. This is one of the many reasons we live here in Central Florida. William and his sons joined me on Tuesday for their first trip to Mosquito Lagoon and a good one it was. The morning started off a little slow with the cool water conditions, but as the sun warmed that water, the bite really picked up!

William's oldest son Radford is a great young angler and he had lot's of good shots at fish. He kept the focus on the game and he was rewarded with his first sightcasted Redfish ever. What an awesome moment it was. Nice work Radford!!!!!

We finished off the day with seven nice fish to the boat and a day full of wonderful memories. It is so nice to see parents exposing their kids to the sport of fishing. Makes it all worth while in my book. Thanks William and I look forward to fishing with you guys again on you next trip to the Orlando area.

Yesterday, Kent from Alaska was back on the front of my Maverick for a day of sightfishing with the fly rod. This was Kent's third trip with me on the Lagoon and we had perfect conditions. High sun and slick water made it easy to see all the Redfish tails. Boy did we see the tails yesterday!!!!

Kent had a great day on the water with my Scott X2s 7wt and when it was all said and done we had three nice Redfish to hand on the fly! Nice job Kent and I look forward fishing with you again in the Spring!

Well it is Christmas Eve and I better get back to the family. I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas with your families. God Bless and travel safe!
Look forward to seeing you on the water soon,
Capt. Todd
