Very good start to the week!

Cool start to the morning, but as that Sun warmed the water the tails came on up!
Today I fished with Brad and his two sons from Texas. It was their first trip to Mosquito Lagoon and did they get a taste of some great sightfishing. Our first spot of the morning was not as productive as I wanted, but we did see a couple big schools. They were a bit spooky to say the least. Guess I would be to if I had been chased around by a trolling motor for an hour. Not sure what those anglers were thinking. The second stop of the day however, was ML at it's finest!!!! The water slicked out, the Sun was high and the tails were everywhere.

Did not take Brad long and he was hooked up on a nice tailing Redfish. Good fight and the first fish of the day was in hand. Soon after we landed the fish and took pictures, the wind picked up again. Made it tough to see with the chop, so we headed to our next flat. Saw lot's more fish and had some great shots, but no other fish on fly today. Brad's son JB did catch his first Redfish on light tackle which was awesome. Another wonderful day in paradise!!!

Back on the water tomorrow chasing fish with the fly rod!

Dates are starting to fill in January, so get your trip booked today.
See you on the water,

Capt. Todd
