Started the week with Bill from Long Island. This was Bill's second trip with me and he got it done again. With the cooler temps, the fish took a while to get warmed up, but they were eager to eat the fly. Bill hooked a few fish, but only one to the boat yesterday. Nice work Bill and I look forward to fishing with you again on your next trip to Orlando.

Today I fished with Webb and Patrick from Boston. Another cool morning, but the day warmed up a lot quicker. These guys were on fire today. Double digit trout and redfish on fly!!! Just one of those days where the fish were eating everything.

It was great fishing with you guys again and look forward to chasing some tails on your next trip. We did chase a few big Bull Reds today, but the cool water temps had their jaws locked up tight.

As most of you know we have had several record cold days in row here on Mosquito Lagoon and the wildlife is really suffering. Lot's of dead sea trout and the sea turtles have been in trouble as well. Over the past few days the National Park Service Rangers and staff have been rescuing hundreds of turtles. So sad to see these beautiful creatures suffering, but officer Jane and the rest of the crew have saved several hundred. They have been out on the Lagoon with their airboats working hard. Great work guys and so good to see the turtles being saved!

Temps are on the rise and will be back to normal here in the next day or so. These fish will really be on the feed!!! Only have a few dates left this month and February is filling fast. Get your trip booked today!!!
See you the water,
Capt. Todd
