Another good week!

First of all, I want to thank everyone that turned out for my seminar last Saturday at Orlando Outfitters. Had a good group of fly anglers that were eager to learn more about "Sight fishing the Mosquito Lagoon". Lot's of great questions and had good discussion on how to get those sometimes spooky Redfish to eat our flies.
Great fun and look forward to my next seminar later in the Spring!!!

Finished up last week with a couple of great trips on the Lagoon. Tim and his girlfriend Brooke joined me again for some sight fishing. Last trip we got blown off by a huge thunderstorm, so the were due for a beautiful day and a beautiful day it was!!!! Tim worked hard with that fly rod all day, but it was Brooke that hooked up with her first Redfish ever. Great fun!!!!! Tim made some beautiful presentations and even hooked up on one nice fish, but none to the boat that day. He will be back to get the job done soon.

The last trip of the week was with Greg and his Dad Ray. As you can see by the photo above, we had overcast skies and slick calm conditions. The perfect combination for tailing Redfish and we saw tons of them. However, they were really spooky and these guys worked hard all day to get one to eat. We did have a couple of takes, but no solid hook ups. It was a lot fun chasing those tails and we will get them on the next trip. Thanks guys!!!

In the office most of this week and then it is back on the water the rest of the month. Just have one day open February 9. Sight fishing has been very good so get it booked if your ready to hit the water!

Look forward to seeing you on my Maverick!
